John R. Miller, III is a native of Centre County who grew up as an attorney’s son, so it was only natural that John would want to be an attorney too. He focuses his practice on real estate, estate planning, and estate administration matters, in addition to representing municipal entities.

John attended college at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated with a degree in business management. He then attended the Duquesne University School of Law, focusing on civil legal matters.

John joined Miller, Kistler & Campbell in 1973. In the more than forty years since then, John has successfully served as the Solicitor for more than fifteen municipal entities, including boroughs, townships, and municipal authorities, in addition to the Register of Wills of Centre County. John also brings extensive experience to the fields of estate planning and estate administration, having assisted hundreds of individuals and their estates with the process of devising and inheriting property, and real estate matters, where he has acted as the settlement agent for more than 1,000 real estate closings.

John is an active citizen in the local community. Among other activities, he has served two terms on the Board of Directors of the Centre Foundation, and he has assisted with the formation of many other nonprofit entities. He lives in State College with his family, and in his spare time, he enjoys golfing and boating.
